Why not a universal mount with rubber bands?
Rubber bands seem practical and work across many bike models, but it’s always a compromise. The OEM mount doesn’t hold perfectly, and worn-out bands plus vibrations mean the radar loses its optimal alignment or even falls off. On top of that, the OEM mount weighs a relatively hefty 36g. With our mount, you save almost 20g.
Why a bike-specific mount?
Vibrations and worn-out rubber bands can throw off your radar’s alignment and affect how well it works. A fixed mount makes sure your Garmin Varia performs at its best at all times.
Does the mount really fit my bike exactly?
Yes. Each mount is designed specifically for the seatpost of a particular bike model. Just select your exact bike model and generation at checkout.

Is installation difficult?
Installation is very simple and doesn’t require removing your seatpost. There are just two screws, tightened with a 2mm hex key to about 1–2 Nm.
How do I mount a radar taillight correctly?
The ideal mounting position is at least 20cm above the rear wheel with a clear view to the rear. The taillight should be securely fastened so it doesn’t wobble or get lost.

What if my mount doesn’t seem to fit?
If your mount doesn’t seem to fit, try the following:
- Gently wiggle the mount up and down along the seatpost to help it align perfectly.
- Once aligned, squeeze the two ends together with your fingers while inserting the screws.
- Tighten the screws to only 1–2 Nm, that’s light, but enough for a secure fit. Carbon doesn’t forgive overtightening.
